Our History

It All Began In A Garage...

Team 6282 was founded in 2012 when two brothers, Aarranon and Arhison, invited a couple of friends over to help build a robot to enter in the FIRST Tech Challenge game Ring It Up! Their father, Raj, served as lead mentor for the first six years. In 2016, Arhison brought his team to the Simi Valley High School campus and founded a school club to support the competitive team.

The mission of FIRSTĀ® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
